![]() ![]() Prayed to the almighty God of hard disk failures. Looked into the system logs, something I've found was " Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued". In the power options, I set the hard disk to never turn off and I disabled Link State Power Management.ĭid a clean install of Windows 10 (I went from Insider to Windows 10 Pro). I checked the disk with CrystalDiskInfo, but everything seems to be in order. When I boot it up again, everything is back to normal and the HDD is alive again. Next thing I have to do is shut the computer down completely. The drive itself is also gone in explorer. When Windows boots and I log in, I get a message that "D:\Files\Desktop" could not be found. Mostly a hard reset because the rebooting-screen lasts forever. ![]() ![]() Afterwards explorer itself hangs or freezes, and I have to reboot the system. ![]() I know the problem is occurring again when I'm in the file explorer and directories seem to contain no regular files when I know they do, or when a file is empty when I open it. Windows itself is installed on a SSD, but my home folders (Documents, Pictures. This happens mostly when I'm writing large files to it. I ever since I installed Windows 10 Insider, the hard drive on my computer sometimes randomly disappears. I have this problem for a while now, and I can't seem to find a solution for it, so maybe somebody here knows more information about this. ![]()
